I recommend everyone who visits takes the time to listen to Harry's words in his own voice. Talk about inspiration! Harry in his own words voices the concerns of workers today. His message although stated years past apply today. Listen Learn and enact his inspirational message!!!

I had the privilege of being associated with Brother Van Arsdale for 22 years my tenure on the staff of the JIB. The last five as Chairman. He was the most amazing person I ever met. today Katharine Erickson one of HVA'S daughters was laid to rest. Katharine was a big part of HVA's life. and a big part in the growth of 3.Her memory will remain with US for many a year. RIP

I was a Local 3 'A' Div. member (as was my father before me) from 1960 to 1984 during which time Brother Harry Van Arsdale Jr. was...and still is...the organized labor icon of his times. I shall never forget his fiery speeches at the monthly Local meetings and inspiration he gave all of us to always remain vigilant in securing better working and living conditions for organized labor. Thanks for this opportunity to express my feelings and debt of gratitude in memory and tribute to this great Union Man and a 'well done' to you for constructing this website. Thank you!

I met Harry about 1982 I was impressed with his memory and kindness shown to all in his company of the many union leaders I've met he was the best I will never forget him.
